Negotiation can be only on Independence of Balochistan: Brahamdagh Bugti

Bloch Nationalist Leader Brahamdagh Bugti has said that he is against the interruption of every foreign power into Balochistan including Pakistan and United States.

In an interview with BBC Urdu, Bugti while talking on the recently held Balochistan conference by the Supreme Court Bar Association, said that he was always ready to speak for the rights of the ethnic Baloch living in the province, but not about the Pakhtuns residing in Balochistan, adding that the time is over to discuss the Balochistan problem and to hold conferences in this regard.

While talking about raising the Balochistan issue in the US Congress, Brahamdagh Bugti said that purpose of raising the issue was not to put pressure on Pakistan whereas it was the result of efforts made by Baloch people living abroad.

It is with mentioning here that in February this year, US Republican Party member Dana Rohrabacher submitted a resolution in the US Congress in which it was stated that Baloch nation has the historical right of self-determination but this was severely criticized in Pakistan.

Commenting on the NATO supply passing through Balochistan, Brahamdagh Bugti said it was essential to take Baloch representatives into confidence over the matter. He avoided condemning the armed struggle in Balochistan.

According to Brahamdagh Bugti, the Baloch nation would take decision on any gas pipeline coming from Turkmenistan, Afghanistan or Iran and passing through Balochistan.

About negotiations offer, Brahamdagh Bugti said negotiation on can be on agenda of independent Balochistan, without confessing our independence, negotiations are not acceptable.  (BBC Urdu)
