Asia, what a continent
Asia is the largest and most popular continent, it covers 8.7% (17,212,000 square miles) of the earth total surface area (or 30% of it land area) and with approximately 4.3 billion people, it hosts 60% of the world’s current human population. It is sub-divided into 48 countries 2 of them are (Russia and turkey) are having parts in Europe. Asia is the largest continent in the world by considerable margin and it is rich in forests, fishes, water, rice, petroleum, copper, silver etc and having the world major forests, rivers, deserts grasslands and many more natural resources, the world highest mountain peak (Mount Everest) is situated in Asia in Nepal.
Asia is the home to several languages, families, and many religions. Most Asian countries have more than one language that is natively spoken for example according to Ethnologists, more than 600 languages are spoken in Indonesia, more than 800 languages are spoken in India and more than 100 languages are spoken in Philippine. And for more information the religion of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism originate in India, (South Asia). In East Asia Particularly in China and Japan Confucianism, Taoism and Zen Buddhism took shape. Buddhism has a great following in mainland southeast Asia and East Asia. Buddhism is the religion of majority of the population of Cambodia, 98% Thailand, 95% Burma, 89% Bhutan, 75% Sari Lenka, 69% and small communities in India and Bangladesh. How ever worlds largest Muslim community within the bond of one nation in Indonesia. South Asia mainly Pakistan, India and Bangladesh holds 30% of Muslims. There are also significant Muslim populations in China, Iran Malaysia, Southern Philippine, Russia and most of the west and central Asia. To move further, Rabindernaath Tagore was the first Asian who was awarded the Noble prize for literature in 1913 and become the first Asian Noble prize winner and also Mother Teresa of India and Shirin Ebadi of Iran were awarded Noble prize for their significant and pioneering efforts for democracy and human rights, especially the rights of women and children and Ebadi is the first Muslim and Iranian woman who received Noble prize. Si C V Raman is the first Asian to get a Noble prize at science; he won the Noble prize in physics. Simply Asia is a mixture of different languages, religions, civilizations, sects, dynasties and different temperaturized countries.
