Election faint but media shows fervent campaigning

In Balochistan, according to election commission of Pakistan 13 parties will be participating in general election 2013. Separatist parties and groups have not only boycotted but they are halting the way of election, too.
Balochistan National Party- Mengal (BNP-M), Balochistan National Party-Awami (BNP-A), National Party (NP), Jamait Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F), Jamait Ulema-e-Islam-Nazariati (JUI-N), Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP-T), Jamhoori Watan Parti-Aali (JWP-A), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Muslim Leagu-Q (PML-Q), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and other Parties are taking part in general election 2013 in Balochistan.
Balochistan National Movement (BNM), Baloch Republican Party (BRP), Baloch Watan Party (BWP), Baloch Student Organization-Azad and other several organizations have announced for not being a part of election arranged by state of Pakistan.
The banned armed resisting groups Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), Baloch Republican Army (BRA), Lashkar-e-Balochistan and others have announced to halt election proceedings in Balochistan. These organizations have invaded on state forces, values and parties’ leaders who are participating in election 2013.
It has been felt that masses are ennui from state electorate system due to its dispiriting performance and humdrumness mechanism and occupation of handful groups or a layer on power houses including positions. Media is projecting only these mentioned groups but on ground they don’t have any mandate.
Suppose Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) claims for being a largest party in Balochistan. It has majority of Baloch ethnic and claims for being Baloch Nationalist, too but pockets of other origins, like Pashtoon, Hazara are also included in it. This party ousted leader Mr. Akhatar Mengal arrived Balochistan on election season, he was desirous to demonstrate street power, but in fact in his public meeting at Railway Hockey Ground had not more than 1500 people joined the procession on call of this party. The participants were of the relatives of leaders, members , personality cults or tribal motivated came in procession. The democratic mindset was almost absent in BNP-M’s public meeting at Railway Hockey ground. This example is enough to gauge other parties’ characteristic and ideology, too.
If we discuss about National Party of Dr. Malik, so history is evident that excluding groups of consisting of dozens were appearing in front of Quetta press club, they could never conduct huge mass gathering in capital including other parts of Balochistan.
Aforementioned parties and other independent candidates have set and adorned election offices on various venues but their offices are totally empty with peoples. Most election offices have been attacked by grenade and by other automatic weapons. Common people are deterred to go through politicians and their abodes.
In these pathetic situations, institutes and media are assisting to maintain image of state regarding voting process domestically and internationally. The Election Commission of Pakistan has provided details about election-2013 as:
Seats for Provincial Assembly: 65
Seats for National Assembly: 17
Total contesting candidate for provincial assembly: 953
Total contesting candidates for national assembly: 284
Total contesting candidates for both assemblies: 1,237
Total Male registered voters number is shown: 1,914,494
Total Female registered voters number is shown: 1,423,487
Total Polling Stations: 3,679
Total Polling Booths: 8,257
Number of presiding officers: 3,679
Number Assistant Presiding officer: 16,514
Total Polling Officers: 8,257
Majority of these 1,237 contesting candidates are belonging to those parties who have been enjoying governance of assemblies and their approved people mostly family members are occupying high governmental positions which is privileged class or layer. They bring their family members in fraction front of hired media. Most of media institutes are belong to them or business partner which will equally enjoy state wealth with these politicians but common people are marginalized and media is also collaborator with appalling plight of masses in Pakistan; however, Balochistan’s people are distressed worst. If election campaign and mechanism are to be observed, hence anyone can feel from ground realities no election, no campaign and no politician activities in Balochistan. This is reality and true face of general election-2013.
