“Shocking is the fact that under the poverty line, being a third-world-country, In Pakistan, child labor is on its swift rise owing to various and multiple reasons uncovered, esp. the poverty side of the story of its citizens contributes to child labor, resultantly, children are disproportionately falling victims to this inhuman curse in the country where-as according to a report 40 million children are in trapped in child labor in Pakistan. Two million and four hundred (appr. 73%) of them were said to be boys. However, Pakistan is the second largest out-of-school population in the world with 7.26 million children without the provision of education”.
In Pakistan, child labor is day by day getting increased and the children are disproportionately falling victims to child labor due to multiple reasons uncovered. The children who are in the age of 10 to 16, are working in Factories, Agricultural Farms, Shops and Hotels for completion also due to poverty parents send their children for working with the view of earning some money. Beyond the shadow of doubt the gruesome issue is not only preventing children from getting education but also undermining the lives of whom are not getting any assistance by the civil and governmental authorities concerned with the aim of eradication of child labor in the country so far have failed to resolve this issues, and on daily basis due to the additional increase in poverty provided the huge destitution of employment in the hook and cranny of the country.
In addition, the large numbers of children are domestic workers who are almost 10 to 16 while thousands more even younger than the age of 10 and most of these young servants are girls who work in homes for cooking, cleaning, taking care of children, fetching water and all most for all of the other domestic chores. Consequently, these children are often subjected to physical, psychological and sexual violence by their bosses.
Misfortunately, the responsible authorities are not willing to explore the avenues. According to a report 40 million children are entrapped in child labor in Pakistan. Two million and four hundreds (73%) of them were said to be boys. However, according to a report that Pakistan is the second largest out of school population in the world with 7.26 million children are out of school due to poverty. As a last resort, it is the duty of government to provide education to all the citizens and solve this critical issue before very long.
