VBMP upholds tradition of ‘Protest on Eid Day’

Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), comprising on relatives of enforced disappearing Baloch is protesting for long time for the safe recovery of their beloveds. VBMP is continuing its protest on common and special days, like on Eid. The organization has established a token hunger strike camp for protesting to highlight the issue of Baloch missing persons which has entered in counting of years due to much prolongation.
VBMP has introduced an odd tradition ‘Protest on Eid Day’, a holy day of Islamic calendar. The agony of aggrieved people is the worst, consequently they cannot celebrate and influx on roads even on holy days for safe recovery of their beloved ones.
On Eid-ul-Azha, October 27, 2014, the organization Voice for Baloch Missing Persons also conducted protest and upheld the tradition of ‘Protest on Eid Day’. The participant of rally marched on roads and chanted slogan for release of missing Balochs. They were holding photos of missing Balochs, banners and place-cards inscribed with demands to UN and other organizations for bringing on surface to enforce disappeared Balochs.
At last, protestors got gathered in front of Quetta press club and leading figures spoke to protestors and media persons who came to cover the event. The speakers declined all claims of rulers that series of abduction and throwing of mutilated bodies of Baloch has nearly stopped. They said that it is continuing even it has been escalated and now mass-graves are being discovered. They through their speeches appealed to United Nation and Human Rights Organization for intervention in Balochistan on humanitarian basis.
After registering their protest, the aggrieved relatives of missing Balochs dispersed peacefully.
